Top Responsibilities of the Payroll Lead :

• Process payroll for 250-300 employees
• Reviews supporting documentation for appropriate approval and oversees changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, job titles and department transfers.
• Compiles and reviews summary reports of earnings, taxes and deductions as well as payments related to leave, disability and nontaxable wages
• Determines payroll liabilities by approving the calculation of employee federal and state income and social security taxes as well as employer's social security, unemployment and workers’ compensation payments.
• Responds to employee inquiries in a timely and professional manner, offering guidance where possible (excluding tax advice)
• Documents and maintains payroll policies and procedures, updating at least annually
• Administers benefits (401k, healthcare, etc)
• Manages and oversees the year-end payroll processing
• Maintains security and extreme confidentiality of payroll information
• Manages department workflow and individual assignments, follows up on work results providing timely and constructive feedback, and ensures appropriate training and service levels are maintained
• Collaborates with Human Resources
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Required Experience :

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience processing multistate payroll
• Position also requires the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines

salary : $80,000-$105,000
