Overview of the role: Cost Accountant

• Develop and maintain standard cost estimates for materials, labor, and overhead.
• Assist in tracking costs at the project and product level.
• Comfortable directing teams in best practice and GAAP compliant for costing and inventory accounting
• Familiar with material movement from order to ship transactions.
• Reviews inventory transactions and physical movement of material and performing inventory analysis and reconciliations, including inventory reserve adjustments.
• Preparing and presenting cost analysis reports to management and parent company that highlight key findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, engineering, and procurement, to ensure accurate cost data and support cost-saving initiatives.
• Communicating with supply company
• Ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations related to cost accounting and inventory valuation.

Preferred Qualifications: Cost Accountant

• Experience with Epicor ERP software is a plus!
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel
• Previous experience as a cost accountant preferred
• Familiar with project cost accounting, inventory audit
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
