• The Cost Accountant position will play a key role in the growth and expansion of the finance and accounting department.

The Cost Accountant’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Maintain product cost metrics such as Standard Costs and Actual Costs, ensuring manufacturing cost margins are met.
• Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare reports comparing standard and actual costs.
• Manage inventory cost by reconciling cycle counts and period-end balances, adjusting inventory reserve balances as necessary.
• Assist in month-end closing by preparing necessary journal entries and analyzing inventory evaluations.
• Assist with company-wide budgeting reports and participate in the budgeting process.
• Develop systems and procedures for cost accounting functions, recommend cost-effective solutions, and manage the Monthly Close process.

Cost Accountant Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3 years of cost accounting experience, preferably in a Manufacturing Operation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems like Oracle NetSuite.
• Thorough understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting procedures.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills; ability to manage confidential information and interpret data.
