They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Controller to join their team to continue their upward trajectory as one of the largest construction companies in the world The Controller will play a pivotal role in financial management, overseeing various aspects including closing books, managing teams, forecasting, reconciling accounts, and facilitating reporting for the companies public status. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the financial close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements. - Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. - Conduct financial forecasting and analysis to support strategic decision-making. - Oversee reconciliation of accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies. - Handle monthly and quarterly reporting requirements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. - Assume responsibility for running day-to-day financial operations, including processing payments, reviewing subcontractor payments, and addressing payment delays. - Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. - Adapt to ambiguous situations and navigate through grey areas efficiently, demonstrating flexibility and sound judgment. - Coordinate with HR, IT, and support teams on various projects, including the establishment of new bank accounts and joint ventures. - Roll with the punches and thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing unforeseen challenges and changes. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification preferred. - Public accounting experience is a plus, providing a strong understanding of financial processes and regulations. - Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in accounting or financial management roles. - Excellent knowledge of GAAP principles and financial reporting requirements for public companies.
