AP Specialist

Responsibilities of AP Specialist :

• Invoice Processing :
• Receive, review, and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness.
• Code and enter invoices into the accounting system for payment.
• Vendor Management :
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Address vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies or issues promptly.
• Payment Processing :
• Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire transfers.
• Ensure timely and accurate disbursement of funds to vendors.
• Expense Tracking :
• Reconcile and monitor accounts payable records to ensure accuracy.
• Assist with expense reporting and tracking.
• Month-End Closing :
• Assist in month-end closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations.
• Compliance and Record Keeping :
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable records and documentation.

Preferred Experience of AP Specialist :

• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of accounts payable principles, practices, and regulations.
• Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of financial statements and accounting processes.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred but not required).
• At least 1 year of relevant accounts payable experience.
