Creating Positive Futures is Hiring a Remote Director of Coaching - for Academic & ADHD Coaching Team

This position is NOT for you if you don’t have experience working with adolescents and their families as an ADHD Coach, Executive Function Coach, Academic Coach, Counselor, Therapist, Special Education teacher, or similar position.

It is also NOT for you if you don’t like managing people and getting the best out of your team by having tough conversations, holding people accountable, and caring about them enough to give them direct and honest feedback about their performance.

About us

We are an Academic & ADHD coaching practice that was founded in 2013 to help teens and young adults earn better grades with less stress by improving their mindset, organization, time management, and study skills. We are a small, close-knit team that is committed to supporting and encouraging each other to grow personally and professionally.

We are looking for a new Director of Coaching to train and lead our team of coaches. You’ll be responsible for managing the coaching team, developing them into better coaches, and ensuring they have everything they need to succeed in their roles and set their students and families up for success.

This is a full-time remote W2 role based in Atlanta, GA. Remote work applicants may not work from the following states: CA, CO, DC, HI, MA, MD, MT, NY, VT, WA. Candidates must be willing to travel to the Atlanta area 2-4 times a year for in-person events with the team.

Responsibilities

Coach Management:

  • Conduct consistent 1-1 meetings with each coach on the team
  • Plan and run monthly continuing-ed sessions for the coaching team
  • Facilitate biweekly small group mentoring sessions coaches
  • Review coach performance metrics to ensure coaches are achieving their KPIs on a daily/weekly basis & providing accountability
  • Speak to team members when KPIs are off pace to help them get back on track
  • Discuss issues with coaches and work with them to solve quickly
  • Track conversations in coaches’ Slack channels and provide support as needed
  • Serve as the point of contact for all coaches on the team to help them be effective

Coach Training and Professional Development

  • Plan and facilitate training sessions for new coaching cohorts
  • Review recorded coaching sessions and provide coaches with specific feedback on how to improve their performance
  • Develops and facilitates annual professional development program for coaches

Coach Hiring

  • Conduct interviews to hire new coaches and ensure they have the hard & soft skills to do the job required, as well as being a fit for the company culture

Fulfillment Management:

  • Follow up with coaches & parents about any low parent satisfaction scores
  • Review a list of “at risk” students and check on their progress with coaches weekly

Other Duties

  • Lead special projects as agreed upon with CEO and COO in alignment with strategic plan
  • Contribute to the development of coaching-related content through content planning, brainstorming sessions, and editing with Marketing Coordinator
  • Attends and participates in weekly support team meetings and 1:1 with COO

Results

  • Ensure coaches are consistently meeting performance standards
  • Hit company targets for average number of coaching hours/week
  • Hit KPIs for client happiness and retention

Requirements:

  • 3 years experience in ADHD coaching, academic coaching, executive function coaching, counseling, therapy, special education, or relevant work with teens young adults, and their families
  • 3 year experience designing and facilitating training and professional development for academic and ADHD coaching services or similar field
  • 3 years management experience. Experience managing remote employees preferred
