Job Description:
BEP’s Project Associate will support projects assigned under the Biosecurity Engagement Program’s EAP, WHA and Africa portfolios covering biosecurity, biosafety, nonproliferation, and counter-terrorism priorities.
Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the PA will provide administrative support to other team members and complete project-related tasks for a team implementing projects, including support in designing, planning, and executing projects, as well as independently planning/implementing grant competitions, online webinars and pass-through projects assigned to them in a manner consistent with CRDF Global and funder objectives.
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual who has attention to detail and can work both independently and as a part of the team.

Major Responsibilities:

• Supports the biosecurity engagement program team in implementing projects related to topical areas including: national security, CBRN, WMD counterterrorism, and proliferator states.
• Contribute significantly to proposal development efforts specifically in researching priority topics and developing written material of findings that may be used for publication to a variety of audiences.
• Supports research, planning and organizational tasks for site visits, conferences, meetings, workshops, trainings, grant competitions, and other events
• Supports program or division wide initiatives
• Drafts reports and correspondence for funders, grantees, and consultants
• May travel within the US and internationally once it’s allowed
• Oversees document and information management to ensure records and databases, including electronic and physical files, are current and complete
• Supports other programs and staff, as required
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• 0-2 years of work experience in a related field
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines

• Solid research and writing skills
• U.S. work authorization
