CRDF Global seeks a Project Associate to support implementation of counter-proliferation programming, specifically focused on U.S. and Canadian governments’ effort to use all available tools to exert pressure on North Korea to curtail its weapons of mass destruction (WMD) proliferation and build foreign capacities to enforce UN Security Council Resolutions related to North Korea’s proliferation financing targeting financial institutions. The Project Associate will support the implementation of counter-proliferation programming related to illicit maritime activities, diplomatic privilege abuse, luxury goods, overseas labor, and proliferation financing targeting financial institutions.
Under the supervision of a Senior Project Lead and Project Lead as well as in consultation with the funders and international partners, the Project Associates will assist the program with administrative and directed project-related tasks to develop and execute the technical, financial, and administrative aspects of a portfolio of activities to ensure they are administered and implemented in a manner consistent with CRDF Global and funder objectives. Activities may include meetings, workshops, trainings, conferences, grant-making, research competitions, or other activities, both in-person and virtual.
The ideal candidate should enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, have exceptional communication skills, knowledge of/experience with project and financial management, attention to detail and organizational skills, be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and be capable of meeting tight deadlines. The Project Associates will work within the Security Assistance Division, which consist of a combination of Program Managers, Senior Project Leads, Project Leads, Project Associates, Grant/Procurement Managers, Travel/Logistics Managers, and Interns.
