Job Description

Full-service boutique creditor’s rights firm seeking an associate attorney for its North Carolina location. The firm’s primary practice areas include foreclosures, replevins, bankruptcy, collections, and general litigation matters focused on landlord/tenant law and other real estate related issues. We are seeking a motivated associate attorney to assist in each of these practice areas. Applicants should be self-motivated and well organized as they will be expected to assist throughout the firm as needed. Title and real estate experience preferred, but not required. This position will provide a wide range of valuable experiences to the prospective applicant including direct client interaction and courtroom experience. The firm has a casual office with flexible scheduling as well as a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in court throughout the state of North Carolina
  • Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients
  • Legal Research
  • Advise clients on business and legal transactions
  • Negotiate settlements for legal disputes
  • Comply with all legal standards and regulations
  • Assist North Carolina Managing Attorney as needed

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate
  • Must be licensed to practice law in the State of North Carolina
  • Admission to the 3 Federal District Courts of North Carolina is a plus
  • Strong Research and Writing skills
  • Prefer 1-5 years of practice experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as the applicant will be expected to interact directly with clients, court personnel, and defendants on a daily basis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Background in Real Estate Law is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
