Job Title: Bookkeeper/ Finance Manager

We are seeking a talented and experienced Bookkeeper/Finance Manager to join our dynamic team. The role involves all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and cashflow management to ensure the financial health and success of our projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, finance, and construction industry experience.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets to provide accurate and timely financial information to ownership group.
- Monitor cash flow, budget variances, and financial performance.
- Coordinate with project managers and vendors to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and other financial accounts on a regular basis.
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to accounting and taxation.
- Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts, projections, and annual budget plans.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors during audits and tax filings.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to streamline financial operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed recommendations.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion with sensitive financial information.
- Knowledge of construction accounting principles and practices is preferred.
