CRAIG HOSPITAL is Hiring an Internal Communications Specialist 8753 Near Englewood, CO

POSITION SUMMARY

The Internal Communications Specialist(s) is responsible for hospital internal communications, strategies and implementation, with an emphasis on internal employee engagement to increase awareness of issues, protocols, events, trainings, etc. This position is responsible for assisting in the coordination and development of an effective and proactive internal communications program within Craig Hospital including the development and maintenance of internal communications platforms/tools.

This is a hybrid position that requires you to live in the Denver metro area.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Licensure/Certification/Registrations: Must have a current, valid Colorado driver's license in good standing and insurable.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, or related field from an accredited college or university required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in marketing communications or related field. Must have experience planning and producing publications, advertisements, electronic and verbal communications, managing websites and social media, media relations, press releases, press conferences, and event planning. Previous experience in a healthcare setting and photography skills preferred.
  • Skills & Abilities: Excellent organization and customer service skills. Ability to successfully handle multiple priorities and prioritize and schedule accordingly. Must be able to successfully and effectively communicate with a variety of personnel, both verbal and written. Ability to work collaboratively and successfully as a member of a team as well as independently. Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines, while effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously. Must be creative, flexible and organized. Ability to present self in a personable and professional manner. Work collaboratively with other departments and physicians. Skilled in techniques photography, video and still, etc. Able to gather collate, or classifying information about data, people, or things. Able to report and/or carrying out a prescribed action in relation to the information. Ability to effectively work with others in collaborative manner to achieve desired multimedia productions. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, use of hardware/software: PC - Windows, MS Word. Corel Draw. PowerPoint, MAC. Adobe Photo Shop. Adobe After Effects, final cut pro suite. Facebook. HTML.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • In conjunction with the Marketing and Communications, Administration, HR and clinical teams, develop and implement an annual strategic internal communications plan that meets organizational objectives and aligns with Craig Hospital’s communications strategy and overall strategic plan.
  • Assist in the creation and execution of an integrated strategic internal communications plan to advance Craig Hospital's brand identity internally, broaden awareness of the hospital's programs and priorities, so employees are brand ambassadors of the hospital. Coordinate with all departments to ensure consistency of brand standards in hospital internal communications.
  • Develop internal communications plans for a range of projects, initiatives and campaigns, and implement them. Assist leadership with the strategy and content on employee communications. Represent internal communications on projects as required to ensure that project managers take note of internal communication needs.
  • Coordinate with all hospital departments and outside vendors on the creation and distribution of employee communications, e g. email, electronic newsletters, publications, flyers, posters, power point templates, app notifications, promotion of hospital and Foundation events & branded items.
  • Measure the effectiveness of internal communications messages and channels on an ongoing basis and make recommendations to review and amend the strategy as appropriate.
  • Coordinate and maintain content for internal communications channels, including Craig Connect (intranet), SnapComms, 4WI digital signage, PoliteMail, etc. Coordinate efforts and advise groups of other intranet editors to ensure self-generated content meets organizational objectives and ensure standards of communication. Daily maintenance and management of intranet content in content management system.
  • Assist all departments with All-Staff emails, flyers, announcements, promotions, promotional items, power point templates, special events.
