The Chief Operating Officer (COO) reports to the Board of Managers and will be given considerable authority and autonomy to achieve CR3’s goals and objectives, as well as be an active participant in meetings and activities of the Board of Managers. As COO, you will be the key consistent point of leadership to all consultants and work closely with the Board of Managers to develop and execute strategy and maintain cultural norms, ensure the best talent is recruited, hired and developed, develop additional training and knowledge capital, assess and continuously improve delivery quality while supporting the Board of Managers operations.

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate a team of high performers with strong opinions to achieve win-win decisions and outcomes.
• Utilize robust problem-solving and analytical skills while accounting for big picture considerations.
• Balance people skills and genuine caring with leaning into orchestrating constructive conflict to achieve the best outcomes.
• Oversee talent area, led by the Talent Director, and includes recruiting process, onboarding new employees, professional-development system (development and training, feedback and reviews, mentoring program etc.), consultant compensation, and staffing support for client engagements.
• Review, assess, and coach Partners and others to calibrate the use of Engagement Letters, pricing, and scope descriptions.
• Ensure high quality delivery for clients through people development and portfolio management.
• Build upon and increase the training and coaching programs and tools.
• Build upon and increase the knowledge capital and best practice resources and tools.
• Support the Board of Managers in developing and updating CR3’s strategy.
• Implement strategic plans.
• Organize and facilitate as needed the periodic Board of Managers and Partner calls and agendas.
• Balance patience and a sense of urgency.
• Build relationships at all levels within the organization.
• Be critical of processes and approaches to continuously improve the business.
• Be perceived as a credible and trustworthy colleague whose judgment is respected.

Qualifications

• Executive leadership experience in a professional-services firm preferred.
• Strong organization, project management, skill and knowledge development of others, use of technology, process knowledge, analytical, and financial skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent problem-solver and team player
• “Client and Firm first” attitude and mindset
• Work effectively with other motivated professionals in a fast-paced environment

The preferred location for this position is CR3’s headquarters in Dallas, Texas but other geographies will be considered.
