We are looking for an Architectural Sign Designer to create original concepts and schematics that will be used as visual representations and construction blueprints for various sign types. Your work will play a great part in assisting businesses and customers with their signage needs. As a designer, you must be very creative and well-versed in Adobe Illustrator. You should be talented at logo design and fundamental design principles, such as balance, composition and color theory. You will collaborate closely with the sales and project management team, production staff and installation crews.
Responsibilities
- Create original logo concepts from scratch for new businesses
- Develop signage solutions based on business logos, building architecture and color scheme
- Manipulate photos with Adobe Photoshop for conceptual representations and production artwork
- Create brand conversion templates and plans for large-scale signage conversions
- Draft detailed manufacturing schematics for production
- Occasionally meet with customers to discuss brand direction and signage solutions
- Research current products and materials for design specifications
- Ensure solutions stay on budget
- Develop floor plans and site plans for specific sign installation locations
- Be creative!
Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator
- Basic experience with Adobe Photoshop
- Proficiency in Adobe After Effects is a plus, but not required
- Knowledge of design principles such as balance, composition and color theory
- Knowledge of kerning
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Creativity and attention to detail
- Well-organized and reliable
- High school diploma; Degree in Graphic Design or other related to Design
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $25,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
