Job Title: Corporate Project Scheduler

Department: Operations

Reports To: Senior Vice President

Location: Gainesville, FL, Orlando, FL or Tampa, FL (Flexible)

SUMMARY:

The Corporate Project Scheduler is responsible for planning, coordinating and developing schedules for large-scale commercial projects. The Corporate Project Scheduler will work closely with Superintendents, Project Managers, Estimators and Regional Leadership on corporate scheduling on all aspects of the project including project conceptualization, risk assessment and oversight of contracting, project controls, resource implementation and planning. The Corporate Project Scheduler maintains positive relationships with Clients, Architects, Consultants and Subcontractors while working with field construction staff. Daily activities are conducted to promote the company's vision, mission and core values.

FLSA CLASSIFICATION AND HOURS:

  • Exempt Level Position – This is a 40 hour a week, full-time position. Days and hours of work are at minimum Monday through Friday and you can expect to work normal business hours from 8AM to 5PM. Specific jobs may require hours to report in to work to change based on project needs. This could mean you could report in to work earlier or you may have to stay later. Changes in work hours will be at sole discretion of direct supervisor. Position is based on completion of work, not hours worked. Some occasional weekend and after-hours work are required pending demands of the job and projects assigned.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10% of time with occasional travel required to job sites and to other CPPI satellite offices.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-7 years of experience as a Schedule (higher education, healthcare, corporate office, etcetera), preferably within the commercial sector working to schedule for large – scale projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline; OR equivalent field experience.
  • Proven experience being solution -oriented and detail-oriented.
  • Oracle Primavera P6 experience.
  • Familiar with technology including MS Office and Outlook.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Experience working independently and as a part of a dynamic team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This role will plan, coordinate, and develop schedules for large – scale commercial projects.
  • The project scheduler will work closely with Superintendents, Project Managers, Estimators and Regional Leadership for project conceptualization, risk assessment and oversight of contracting, project controls, resource implementation and planning.
  • Facilitates planning sessions with project team, subcontractors, designers, and stakeholders to receive input for sequencing, labor and durations, as it relates to overall project milestones and timelines.
  • Independently reviews and analyzes monthly schedule updates and complete reporting requirements.
  • Calculates to accurately estimate labor hours, activity durations and cost breakdown of projects.
  • Coordinates review of the project schedule updates with the appropriate personnel.
  • Develops and maintains contract schedule updates with project teams.
  • Helps teams manage preconstruction planning, design development, bid/buy-out, procurement, construction sequences, startup, testing & commissioning.
  • Provides risk management input on key schedule milestones.
  • Alerts entire project team, including owner, to potential problem areas or deviations from the plan and assists in generation of recovery plans or delay analysis.
  • Create variance reports, graphics, and narratives to highlight issues or conflicts.
  • Understanding of CPM, LBMS and Takt scheduling theory, level of detail, and execution.
  • Manages completion and submission of all schedule updates.
