Job Summary

  • The Rehabilitation nurse cares for patients experiencing temporary, progressive, or permanent disabilities or illnesses that require rehabilitation. Rehab nurses assess, diagnose, and help to design a plan of care that best suits the patient’s needs and expedite recovery. Working with physicians, pharmacists, and occupational and physical therapists, rehabilitation nurses support patients throughout the recovery process by educating them and helping set recovery goals, encouraging self-care, and providing effective coping skills.

Job Requirements

  • Education
    • Required: BLS must be obtained within 90 days
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration
    • Required: RN license active in the state of Missouri
  • Skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Demonstrate effective leadership abilities
    • Exhibits valuable time management skills
    • Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills.
    • Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.
  • Experience
    • Preferred: Previous nursing experience
    • Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program
    • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
