Job Summary
The Purchasing Manager provides leadership, direction and management for all Materials Management functions. The incumbent provides oversight and management of operational, regulatory, and business processes across the system. The position leads the department in facilitating change, fostering innovation and self-development to achieve excellence in operations, patient safety and quality. The Manager defines the department mission, oversees planning and goal setting, budget preparation and adherence, and meeting all performance standards.
Job Requirements
Education
Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration or related field.
Experience
Required: 5 Years Experience in a healthcare materials Management/Purchasing field
Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams
Self starter
Proficient in computers and computer systems
Experience with Excel and Word programs
Previous experience with Lawson and data base management
