Job Title: Senior Network Consulting Engineer

Job Summary: As a Senior Network Consulting Engineer, you will be responsible for providing expert-level consultation to clients on their network infrastructure. You will design, implement, and troubleshoot complex network solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of each client. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with project managers, sales teams, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of network projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

1. Network Design: Design scalable, reliable, and secure network architectures based on client requirements and industry best practices.

2. Implementation: Configure, install, and deploy network hardware and software components, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.

3. Network Optimization: Optimize network performance through traffic analysis, capacity planning, and performance tuning techniques.

4. Security: Implement and maintain network security measures, including access control lists (ACLs), intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and VPN solutions.

5. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex network issues using packet analysis tools, network monitoring systems, and other troubleshooting methodologies.

6. Documentation: Create detailed network documentation, including network diagrams, configuration guides, and operational procedures.

7. Client Engagement: Serve as the primary technical contact for clients, providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.

Knowledge Sharing: Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge with team members through training sessions and technical presentations.

Qualifications:

1. 5 years of experience in network engineering or a related field, with a focus on consulting or professional services. Previous Cisco partner experience is a huge plus.

2. Expert-level knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and VPNs.

3. Hands-on experience with network hardware from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto Networks.

4. Strong understanding of network security principles and technologies, including firewall configuration, IDS/IPS deployment, and encryption standards.

5. Industry certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, etc, or equivalent (highly desired).

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

7. Proven track record of successfully delivering complex network projects. on time and within budget.

Working Conditions:

• This role may require occasional travel to client sites.

• Work hours may vary based on project deadlines and client needs.

• Ability to work remotely and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.

Specific Technology Experience (Not all are required):

• Firepower platform - Firepower Management Center/FTD - implementation and migration from ASA end to end

• Intermediate VMWare experience

• Nexus and Catalyst advanced experience (Migration, Implementation, Lifecycle swap)

• ACI

• Cisco UCS

• Storage (Nimble, NetApp, etc.)

• Fortigate
