Covenant Care - Resource Center is Hiring a Human Resources Manager Near Aliso Viejo, CA

Overview

Purpose of Your Job Position

The Manager, Human Resources manages employee relations, labor relations (union), and has hands-on knowledge of Federal, State and local labor laws, including wage and hour and Leave of Absence. Understands how to interpret policies and procedures consistently across all employment groups. Understands the importance of positive employee relations and can train and coach supervisors to resolve employment matters.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides counseling on Employee Relations matters to ensure consistent application of company policies.
  • Work with regional teams to train and provide support and solutions to employee and performance challenges.
  • Administers various human resources programs.
  • Understand labor relations and can effectively support union negotiations, grievances, and positive relationships as related to Collective Bargaining Agreements and procedures.
  • Assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures and updates, maintains Employee Handbook.
  • Provides training and education to leadership on all aspects of Employee Relations, Unions, coaching, and counseling through one-on-one meetings and in group presentations.
  • Maintains records, reports, and file documentation to support any legal challenges.
  • Conducts and supports the Resource Center new employee orientations.
  • Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals.
  • Recommends new approaches to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services.
  • Establish and maintain Leave of Absence administration, training, and processes.
  • Understands and maintains compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Creates a pleasant onboarding experience.
  • Assists with building a pleasant employee experience and diverse culture.
  • Completes project work by meeting and managing deadlines.
  • Comfortable with changes in management in a changing organization.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience:

    5-7 years experience as a Human Resources Manager or the equivalent

    2-3 years of hands-on Union/Labor Relations Experience required

    2-3 years of hands-on employee relations experience required

    Experience with facilitating managing DFEH, EEOC, DOL complaints.

    Experience conducting employee investigations and managing to resolution

    Healthcare Experience preferred.

    Education:

    Bachelor’s Degree or higher Required

    Travel Requirements:

    Ability to travel up to 20-30 percent to facilities throughout CA and NV
