ThePlant Maintenance Mechanicperforms ongoing facility maintenance and completes repairs on equipment. The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for keeping the facility processing equipment functional and repairing problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen. These duties include fixing machinery, plumbing, heating, and wiring. The Maintenance Mechanic will inspect buildings for safety concerns and schedule major repairs with the building's inhabitants.

Primary duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, procedures and acting in a safe manner at all times.

• Performs all job-related functions in a Safe, Honest, Ethical and Compliant fashion. Maintains a "Safety First" approach to all tasks and understands that operating safely is the most important thing we do.

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on plant and processing equipment; maintain records of maintenance work done on equipment; disconnect equipment prior to removal.

• Performs corrective maintenance on plant equipment and process systems such as partreplacement, equipment changes, cleaning of tanks and basins.

• Inspects, operates, calibrates, and repairs shredder processing equipment, conveyors, pumps, valves, air compressors, meters, equipment control panels, programmable controllers, emergency generators, forklifts, excavators skid steer loaders and other facility equipment.

• Performs a variety of plumbing and metal fabrication duties.

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses problems with industrial-type mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment; performs a variety of electrical tests, understands, reads and uses blueprints, ladder diagrams, construction and mechanical drawings to isolate and correct problems.

• Lubricates processing equipment and conveyors; replaces mechanical bearings and seals and other worn or damaged parts on shredders and conveyors.

• Uses and maintains a variety of hand tools, power tools, electrical testing devices and hoisting equipment.

• Plans for and develops annual outage plans; orders necessary equipment and parts; coordinates subcontract personnel as required.

• Competently and effectively operates a forklift, excavator, and skid steer loader.

• Maintains tools, vehicles, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe condition; winterizes equipment.

• Make recommendations with supporting information that evaluates the cost effectiveness of repair versus replacement. Can develop a written scope of work for 3rdparty subcontractors.

• Conduct safety inspections on vehicles, plant equipment and facilities and reports them to plant management and Velocity EHS.

• Has the ability to wear and effectively use a variety of Levels B, and C & D Personal Protective Equipment including face, hand, foot, and eye protection as well as respiratory protection equipment.

• Works with EH&S, HR, and Training Departments to ensure that their training, and drug screens are current.

• Assists with spill cleanup activities when required.

• Is available for "On Call" duty when emergencies or special situations arise.

• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by Circon management as required by the needs of the business.

GeneralRequirements:

• High school diploma or equivalency.

• Minimum 1 year waste handling experience in an industrial setting.

• Clean driving record and valid state issued Driver's License.

• Knowledge of Safe Work practices and RCRA a plus.

• Ability to pass preemployment screens, Hazwoper 40-Hour Training and Confined Space Entry training.

• Has the ability to work overtime and occasional weekends, in excess of 8 hours per day.

• Travel may be required in support of other ERG operations.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform strenuous physical activity.

• Requires standing and lifting up to fifty pounds. Position may also include carrying, walking, grasping, reaching, and crawling.

• Ability to wear & use PPE and respiratory protection equipment to include level B and C

• Abide by respirator fit policies

• Ability to work in both hot (>90 F and cold <32 F) environments for extended periods of time.

• Fit for duty to include being clean shaven when required.
