Covalent Activewear is a family-owned small business that specializes as a wholesaler of athletic, team and dance apparel. Our office and warehouse is located in minutes from downtown Columbia, MD. We are seeking the right individual to add to our warehouse team. This position has great hours, with holidays and vacation/PTO benefits.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This employee is responsible for performing warehouse duties related to receipt, shipment, storage, and distribution of products, parts, and materials including:

• Pick items and package them for outbound shipments
• Unload, move, label and store incoming shipments in an organized manner
• Process returned merchandise, inspect for quality, and repackage before returning to shelves
• Perform regular physical inventory counts and keeping system up-to-date
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
• Maintaining accurate records and inventory as required
• Maintain warehouse as a safe and clean facility
• Assist with any other general warehouse duties as assigned by supervisor

KNOWLEDGE OF:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Basic use of spreadsheets and word processor programs such as Excel, Word
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in inventory management

ABILITY TO:

• Ability to communicate effectively, courteously, and professionally with multiple teams and individuals
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Speak, read, and write English

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Comfortable with working on a lift as high as 20 feet
• Comfortable with working in a warehouse environment
• Ability to lift or move heavy products up to 30 lbs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.09 - $17.62 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
