Job Purpose

Courtyard by Marriott Charleston Waterfront is seeking a reliable and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time Weekend Shuttle Driver. As a Shuttle Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting guests to and from designated locations, ensuring a pleasant and efficient experience throughout their journey.

Essential Job Functions

• Safely operate the hotel shuttle to transport guests between the hotel and designated local destinations.
• Greet guests in a welcoming manner, assist with luggage, and provide information about the hotel's amenities and local attractions.
• Adhere to traffic regulations and maintain a high level of safety while driving.
• Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the shuttle, both inside and outside.
• Keep accurate records of shuttle usage, mileage, and maintenance activities.
• Communicate effectively with the front desk staff to coordinate shuttle services for guests.
• Provide exceptional customer service, responding to guest inquiries and addressing any concerns.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times while representing the hotel.
• Handle guest feedback and resolve issues in a courteous and timely manner.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Prior experience as a shuttle driver or similar role preferred.
• Knowledge of local attractions, restaurants, and venues is a plus.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Availability to work weekends (Friday - Sunday).
• Ability to lift and handle luggage as needed.
• Punctuality and reliability are essential.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly wage of $14 - $15 per hour plus tips.
