The Courtyard by Marriott Portland Airport is looking for a Full-Time Room Attendant to join their amazing team!
Full availability to work any shift weekdays, weekends, & holidays
The position pays $16.00
The Position
The main function of the Room Attendant is to ensure that each part of the hotel premises, including all nooks and crannies, are properly cleaned and maintained.
Duties:
- Maintain a professional and well-groomed appearance
- Ascertain that housekeeping trolley are properly stacked with supplies such as leaning agents and cloths
- Maintain all hotel brand standards in guest rooms
- Inspect vacated rooms to determine need to clean and maintain them
- Clean windows, sills, walls and furniture as necessary
- Empty waste paper bins. Dust and wipe down as needed. Change light bulbs as necessary
- Sweep and mop floors ensuring they are dried properly. Vacuum as needed
- Strip beds, place fresh linen on them and ensure that dirty and /or soiled bed sheets are handed over to the laundry
- Wash and disinfect bathrooms daily by using the correct mixture of cleaning and sanitation liquids
- Report any security issues or problems to the Housekeeping Manager and ensure that any lost items are identified and handed over to lost and found
- Work closely with Maintenance to ensure guest rooms are in working order at all times
- Transport dirty laundry to laundry area
- Other duties as assigned
Experience
Prior customer service and hospitality experience preferred.
