We are currently seeking a Bistro and Bar Server (and who are open to cook) who play a pivotal role in our success by effectively managing and maintaining all food and beverage department work areas. As a Bistro/Bar Server, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of work areas throughout the day.
  • Entering guest orders into the cash register, collecting payments, and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Manage inventory and alert manager when we are low on certain items
  • Taking orders, preparing and cooking food and beverage items, distributing pre-packaged and prepared food items, and serving orders to tables as needed.
  • Communicating food requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen staff.
  • Ensuring displays are well-prepared and replenished to maintain consistency and freshness from opening to closing.
  • Preparing all potentially hazardous foods at the correct temperatures according to HACCP guidelines.
  • Complying with food safety and handling policies, such as product rotation, dating, labeling, cleaning, and organizing coolers, freezers, and storage areas, while ensuring cold chain compliance across all food-related departments.
  • Monitoring food quality, and notifying the manager if any products do not meet specifications.
  • Operating kitchen equipment, such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers, to prepare food.
  • Conducting regular temperature checks of appliances and food using thermostats and thermometers, including monitoring freezer systems for proper functioning.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of company Food Safety Programs.
  • Washing and disinfecting the kitchen area, including tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
  • Setting up and breaking down workstations with the required tools, equipment, and supplies, ensuring adherence to established specifications and appropriate storage practices.
  • Preparing and cooking food according to Marriott recipes, quality standards, presentation guidelines, and food preparation checklists.
  • Handling cash transactions, including accurately counting and managing the assigned bank, ensuring adherence to property control audit standards and cash handling procedures.
  • Recording transactions in the POS system at the time of order.
  • Performing other reasonable job duties as requested.

Qualifications include:

  • ServSafe Certification and TIPS Certification is required.
  • Previous customer service experience is required. Previous experience in a similar position or within a hotel is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
  • A guest-service-oriented attitude and motivation to learn and grow.
