The purpose of the class is to perform semi-skilled and unskilled workinvolved in both custodial and grounds maintenance tasks for the County; tomaintain assigned equipment, and to perform related work as required. Thisclass works according to set procedures under close supervision of theGrounds Supervisor. Performs general groundskeeping work, including but notlimited to preparing soil for planting, installing landscape materials,watering plants and trees, pruning trees and shrubbery, removing weeds,mowing grass, applying fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides, etc.

Requires:High school diploma, GED or specialized vocational training. Must possess avalid state driver’s license. Requires six months of relevant work experience. Pesticide Applicator license is desirable.
