The purpose of the class is to, under general supervision, appraise and classify residential, rural and small commercial properties within Richland County; to learn and perform the appraisal of larger, more complex commercial properties; to provide professional customer service at all times; to maintain accurate and up-to-date appraisal records, and to perform related work as required. The class works within a general outline of work to be performed and develops work methods and sequences under general supervision.
Requires a Bachelor's degree or education and training equivalent to four years of college education in real estate, business administration, finance or closely related field.
Must possess S.C. Certified Residential Appraisal License; must be able to obtain Certified General Appraisal License within 30 months of hire date; must successfully complete required real estate appraisal courses and have current Standards of Professional Practices certification; must complete annual certification requirements of the S.C. Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation. Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
Requires a minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience.
