GOLF ASSISTANT MANAGER – FOOD & BEVERAGESEASONAL LONG TERM The Kenosha County Division of Golf is looking for a seasonal Assistant Manager – Food & Beverage, to work at Brighton Dale Links. This position reports to the seasonal Food & Beverage Manager and is second in command in the food and beverage operation. Responsibilities include leadership and administration of seasonal Food & Beverage Attendants, as well as assisting with stocking and ordering supplies, maintaining a safe work environment, and ensuring compliance with Wisconsin health regulations. Kenosha County is committed to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion and is anEqual Opportunity Employer. 2024 PAY RANGE: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMonitor the production of food by staff and workersProvide expertise on menu items, offerings, portions, specials, and procurement of ingredientsHelp coordinate menus for special events (outings) with Golf Division staff to ensure food costs and gratuity are properly accounted forAssist with maintaining required staffing levels in a fiscally responsible manner and maintaining work schedulesMaintain all records of input costs and provide analysis as requestedBe alert on opportunity purchases for cost savingsKeep track of menu planning and ensure all required ingredients are in facility ready for productionKeep maintenance of equipment and facility and repair if necessary; maintain a weekly inspection of facilitiesKeep quarterly inventory of the food on hand and complete monthly records of the food productionAssist with staff recruitment, training, and supervision as neededHandle cash and credit card transactions per Golf Division cash policy, ensure cash drawers are balanced nightly and deposits prepared accordinglyPerform other work as required or assigned JOB REQUIREMENTS, EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or GED equivalentAssociate degree in Food Service Management preferred, or equivalent experience in the food service industryThree years of experience in managing a restaurant or an institutional kitchen LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONSMust possess a valid driver’s license at time of hire and maintain during incumbencyServSafe Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTSMust be able to arrive to work to either Kenosha County golf facilities as scheduled and can vary on work assignmentMust be available to work scheduled holidays and weekendsMust be able to work overtime when needed, with or without advance notice SUCCESS FACTORSKnowledge of policies, procedures, and the equipment in the golf facilitiesKnowledge of basic math associated with currency exchangeKnowledge of the commodity markets to help plan the procurement of commoditiesKnowledge of Wisconsin Food Code and nutritional standardsKnowledge of Wisconsin DOC Administrative Code 350Skill in time managementSkill in communicating effectively with guests and co-workersSkill in verbal communication for clear directions to staffSkill in basic accounting principlesSkill in basic usage of Microsoft OfficeAbility to work and learn scheduling softwareAbility to maintain a good working relationship with the Golf Division staffAbility to monitor the staff and keep accurate recordsAbility to remain professional and courteous at all timesAbility to conform to shifting priorities in organization requirements, product demands, and purchasing timelines through analytical capabilitiesAbility to promote inclusivity and effectively engage with a diverse workforce and consumer baseAbility to work respectfully in a diverse and inclusive environment PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
