Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our team. As a Shipping & Receiving Associate, you will be responsible for shipping, receiving, inspecting / documenting incoming and outgoing shipments. We are a small business that specializes in selling high-end audio equipment. Your role here will be crucial in ensuring efficieniency in getting our orders out as well as receiving supplies and customer repairs.

Duties:

- Receive and unload incoming shipments from carriers

- Inspect shipments for damages or discrepancies

- Verify the accuracy of received items against purchase orders or invoices

- Document and record all received items into the warehouse management system (WMS)

- Organize and store received items in designated warehouse locations

- Collaborate with other team members to ensure proper inventory control

- Assist in conducting regular inventory counts and reconciliations

- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling items as needed

- Operate forklifts or other equipment to move and store materials

Skills:

- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role preferred

- Proficient in picking, packing, and order picking processes

- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and MRP systems

- Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently

- Basic math skills for inventory counting and reconciliation

- Knowledge of RF scanners for inventory tracking is a plus

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling shipments

- Excellent organizational and time management skills
