JOB DESCRIPTION

TITLE: Tennis Shop Desk Staff

DEPARTMENT: Tennis

FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt

REPORTS TO: Tennis Shop Manager or Director of Tennis

JOB SUMMARY: As a Country Club of Mobile Team Member, you must be friendly, outgoing and possess good communication skills. Our members and guests expect the best. As a CCM Team Member you play a major role in providing the best quality service possible. “Service with a Smile” is a key element in providing a positive experience. Your individual personality and smile should shine through; you should make every effort to use it to your advantage. You should be organized, able to think and act quickly and effectively while retaining self-composure. All CCM Team Members must at all times, be guest-sensitive and possess a sense of urgency in your timing. Successful CCM Team Members take pride in personal appearances, show dedication, display integrity and honesty in all areas of service.

Sells tennis merchandise in the tennis shop, maintains the shop and records tennis court times. When the Shop Manager leaves for the day, this person takes over the reservation and sales desk, which includes taking phone messages, ball and clothes sales and beverage sales. Also includes the stringing of rackets.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Supplies towels, cups and ice to members and guests.

2. Records all charge tickets.

3. Changes displays when instructed.

4. Restocks merchandise when necessary.

5. Keeps storage area tidy.

6. Records court reservations and assists in finding cooperative partners for players.

7. Promotes and sells tennis shop merchandise.

8. Updates sign-up sheets for court reservations.

9. Reports all complaints to the Tennis Shop Manager

10. Assists members and guests with tennis shop purchases.

11. Attends staff meetings.

12. Completes other appropriate assignments made by the Tennis Shop Manager and Director of Tennis.

13. Completes other tasks as assigned by the Tennis Shop Manager or Director of Tennis.

14. Must adhere personally and always preserve and maintain the tangible and intangible assets of the Club.
