Madison Square Boys & Girls Club is Hiring an After School Teen Activity Specialist (006) Near Brooklyn, NY
This is a part-time position working up to 25 hours a week Monday through Friday in the afternoon.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities for the After School Teen Activity Specialist (006) Position :
- Assist with planning and developing recreation programs in order to ensure that activities and events are made available for all members.
- Implement recreation programs to ensure that members have access to sport, recreation and leisure activities.
- Administer recreation programs to ensure that programs are delivered within guidelines and budgets.
- Promote recreational programs in order to ensure that members are aware of available opportunities and activities.
- Ensure recreation facilities and maintained in order to ensure a safe, clean, and appropriate environment for recreation activities.
- A high school diploma is required, some college experience is preferred and at least 1 year of experience in youth development.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, conduct and supervise personnel, recreational programs and services.
- Ability to communicate effectively with young people from diverse backgrounds, ages 13-18 as well as a range of other organizational personnel in a courteous and professional manner.
- Must be highly motivated and dedicated to the organizational mission.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
