We have a Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm opening at our Canton office. The role of a Medical Billerrequires three to five years of experience in medical billing with a focus on Medicare, Medicaid and Private Insurance. Denial work with OHCA is a plus!
The starting hourly rate for the Medical Biller is between $20-$24 an hour.

Counseling & Recovery Services of Oklahoma provides mental health and substance abuse treatment, physical health care management and wellness services for over 5,000 children and adults annually. We are Oklahoma's only community mental health center certified in the Sanctuary model of care. Using this model, the agency provides trauma-informed care helping to create an environment of safety, identify and manage emotions, process loss and help clients create a future of growth and change. Due to tremendous growth, we are hiring a Medical Biller at our Canton location. As a member of our CRS team, you will have the opportunity to improve the quality of life for our patients by delivering one-on-one clinical guidance and support.

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to use critical thinking skills in evaluating, analyzing and problem solving issues.
  • Organizational skills necessary to achieve promptness in meeting deadlines.
  • A thorough understanding of Medicare, Medicaid and Private Insurance payment process.
  • Ability to communicate clearly to interact with staff, clients, administration, and the community both in person and on the telephone.


Example of Position Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with the Service Code Management Consultant and the Agency Credentialing Specialist to determine the cause of daily denials.
  • Work with Clinical Staff members to determine the coding process that resulted in a denial.
  • Analyze daily system generated rejection and denial reports to prioritize the days tasks.
  • Attend weekly Denial Meetings with team members and update weekly Teams reports.


Other Duties:
Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.


Physical Requirements:
Must be able to move from location to location, bending, stooping, walking up steps at housing facilities, lifting 25 pounds with or without accommodation.
