The title assistant role is a full-time, on-site role. Title assistants input new orders into our system, convert notes from title officers into title commitments or reports, type final insurance policies, and update existing title reports with changes, among many other tasks. Our business is subject to deadlines, so title assistants are asked to work quickly and accurately.
The role also requires sharp attention to detail, excellent typing skills (50 words per minute required), and an ability to focus for extended periods. Title assistants carefully proofread their documents and those of their peers. Comfort with technology is necessary. Although we provided training on how to use our company's software, existing knowledge of Microsoft Office products is required.
Title assistants work together as a team to complete the day's batch of work, but they also have to be able to work alone responsibly. Title assistants help each other meet their deadlines and back each other up.
Title assistants report to our title production manager, responsible for their day-to-day assignments and training.
We require that all title assistants have high school diplomas (or the equivalent).
Experience working at a title insurance company is preferred but not required.
This role pays $20 to $24 per hour based on experience level. We provide medical, dental, and vision insurance, 15 days of paid time off, and a company 401k with matching.
