Description: A Packager 1 works as part of the Packaging Team by providing assistance with the everyday operations of the Packaging Department, carrying out general duties as directed by the Packaging Supervisor while maintaining awareness of, and following warehouse safety procedures.

STARTING RATE OF PAY: Hourly, determined based on experience

General Duties:

The essential functions listed below represent duties performed by this job title. Duties generally include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assists with product assembly line
  • Prepares merchandise for shipment, as required
  • Maintains accurate inventory records through the use of a manual inventory system
  • Fully understand assembly line procedures
  • Understanding of all packaging requirements and specifications
  • Maintain product and packaging knowledge
  • Assist with weekly inventories
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Monitors shelves in order to make sure all products/supplies are in their proper location

  • Maintain basic product knowledge

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Physically able to lift 20 lbs.
  • Physically able to stand or sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to read, count, and write in order to accurately complete all documentation
  • Basic typing and mathematical skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
  • The ability to work under pressure, meet demanding deadlines, and handle stress appropriately

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous warehouse or assembly line experience
  • Knowledge of or keen interest in learning about product base including but not limited to: Cloth Diapers
  • Microsoft Excel (Basic Knowledge)
  • Microsoft Word (Basic Knowledge)

Tests:
Applicants will be expected to pass any assessments associated with the position.
Training:
Paid on-the-job training
