We are looking for a new ideal team player as a Shipping Clerk in our Shipping department! The Shipping Clerk position is responsible for preparing items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards. 

• Pull and fulfill requested orders from inventory.
• Ensure correct items have been pulled for shipment. 
• Operates manual and/or electric pallet jacks. 
• Operates shrink wrap machine.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. (100%) 
• Lift, move, and stack boxes up to 10 lbs. 
• Lift, move, and stack boxes up to 25 lbs. 
• Lift, move, and stack boxes up to 50 lbs.
• Stand and walk to pull orders for 5 to 8 hours at a time.
• Other tasks as assigned. 

This is a safety-sensitive position and should not be under the influence of any substance. 

Requirements

• You may have experience in a manufacturing facility.
• We prefer you have a high school diploma or a General Education Degree (G.E.D) 
• You are a team player, thorough and detail-orientated, very observant, and have technical abilities.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. 

Equipment Used

Forklift, Pack Mule, Shrink Wrap Machine, Electric Pallet Jack. 

Work schedule is Monday through Friday starting at 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

On a typical week

As a Shipping Clerk, your work schedule will be Monday through Friday starting on the production line at 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. On Monday you will arrive around 6:50 a.m. to put your lunch away and fill up your beverage bottle with your favorite morning beverage. You will meet your team in the Shipping Office @ 7:00 am for our morning huddle. We will go over the plan for the day and have short open floor discussions as needed. From there we will start our day by scanning, pulling, stacking, and wrapping up orders that need to ship for the day. At noon we will break for lunch and be back on the floor in our work area by 1:00 pm to finish up orders for the day. Our day will end @ 3:30 pm. On Mondays and Wednesdays, you will head to the lunch room at 11:40 for the Cosmos Minute, where the entire company meets at 11:45 to learn about other team members and special company announcements at Cosmos. Friday mornings you will meet in the shipping department at 7:00 a.m. for the special edition of the Production Cosmos Minute.
