How You'll Contribute to the Team:

The Quality Control Technician uses advanced knowledge of maintenance trades to perform quality inspections of the physical assets, grounds, and amenities of the property management portfolio, including inspection of completed work orders and adherence to policies and procedures. This hands-on role requires a detail and process-oriented, analytical thinker who can identify and address maintenance deficiencies, adhering to Quality Control Program guidelines, and implement additional training and/or corrective actions for employees and vendors. The ability to promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement amongst the maintenance team, ensuring quality of work aligns with expectations of residents and partners, is at the forefront of this role.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform assigned quality control inspections of neighborhoods, homes, community centers, grounds, workorders, warehouse inventory, and fleets adhering to Quality Control Program guidelines and SOPs.
  • Perform Visual Inspection and/or Mechanical inspection for selected turned homes ready for inbound residents.
  • Maintain organization and attention to detail. Manage and track quality issues through all phases of the inspection process and be accountable for ensuring task completion.
  • Communicate all quality issues to the Quality Control Manager in a timely manner, along with recommendations for any corrective actions that may be necessary.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliant quality outcomes across the portfolio and understand the business impact of quality deficiencies.
  • Foster an environment of accountability and continuous learning and technical development.
  • Support the Quality Control Manager in the creation of training materials and participate in end user training.
  • Properly complete all quality inspection documentation in accordance with policy guidelines.
  • Work in conjunction with maintenance teams to ensure adherence to Corvias Policy, Procedures, and SOPs as well as applicable local, state and federal laws.
  • Champion the Corvias culture, mission, vision, and values, and maintain the highest standards of business professionalism.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Role Specific Requirements Include:

  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in multi-family or housing maintenance, construction, or trades.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Type I and II minimum EPA certification with Type II or Type III / Universal EPA Certification if installation/buildings have chillers.
  • Certification or comparable experience in four or more trades including: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, masonry, building construction.
  • Ability to demonstrate the appropriate and safe use of tools and equipment for the specific trades.
  • Ability to demonstrate advanced knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  • Working knowledge of repairs & maintenance, renovations, and turnkey operations.
  • Detail and process-oriented with the ability to perform quality control inspections on completed maintenance work and repairs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently.
  • Ability to read English, interpret documents and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization as well as with vendors and contractors.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
  • Proven history of taking initiative to be productive and efficient while also working well in a team-oriented environment focused on collaboration and accountability.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to interact with residents in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Must be available for mandatory after-hours emergency repairs and/or on call scheduled work rotations.
  • Ability to work irregular hours; workdays may include Saturday or Sunday.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Use of personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement required.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
