Portland Braces and The Modern Orthodontist is looking for a ROCKSTAR Orthodontic Assistant to join our well-established practices in Portland and Vancouver! This position does require travel between both locations. About the role:The Orthodontic Assistant is involved in a wide range of patient care activities, including assisting the doctor during appointments, sterilization procedures, setting up the operatories, taking impressions and x-rays, and occasional minor lab work.What you will be doing - key responsibilities:Prepare patients for treatment by welcoming, comforting, and seating,Build positive relationships with patients, families, and coworkers to ensure the targeted outcome treatment remains on schedule.Educate patients on oral hygiene.Enter detailed chart/record notations in the practice management system.Take x-rays, photos, impressions, and intraoral scans.Provide patient instruction/education.Provide reports to parents/guardians.Assist Orthodontist with consultations and all stages of orthodontic procedures.Clean/disinfect operatories and sterilize instruments and devices.Set up trays and prepare brackets for bonding.Unload and store new supplies.Perform other tasks as assigned by the Doctor, Clinical Lead, and Practice Manager. About you:You are an excellent communicator who brings enthusiasm and passion to every interaction.You enjoy organization and planning.You thrive on the challenge of managing competing priorities.You care about providing excellent customer service and positive patient experiences. What you bring – qualifications:Orthodontic Assistant is preferred, or Registered Dental AssistantGood understanding of relevant health and safety regulationsProficiency with orthodontic/dental management software systems is preferred, but not required.Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills, with a proven ability to build strong relationships and rapport with patients, parents, doctors, fellow team members and the community.Keen attention-to-detail and time management skills$22.00-$25.00/hr.For more information, please visit our websites at: https://www.portlandbraces.com/ and https://www.themodernorthodontist.com/ Don’t miss out on this remarkable opportunity to be part of something special.
