Amherst Orthodontics is looking for a passionate and energetic Dental/Orthodontic Assistant to join our growing, well-established, and quality practice in Amherst, NH. $500 Sign-On Bonus! About the role: The Dental/Orthodontic Assistant is a key member of our clinical team, responsible for providing all aspects of clinical patient care in a professional, efficient, and caring manner. We are a dynamic group of practices across North America with over 50 practices and 850 team members who believe in preserving and evolving our specialty of orthodontics and protecting the integrity of the patient-doctor relationship.$500 Sign-On Bonus!What you will be doing - key responsibilities:Prepare patients for treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping patient.Build positive relationships with patients, families, and coworkers to ensure the targeted outcome treatment remains on schedule.Educate patients on oral hygiene.Enter detailed chart/record notations in the practice management system.Take x-rays, photos, impressions, and intraoral scans.Provide patient instruction/education.Provide reports to parents/guardians.Assist Orthodontist with consultations and all stages of orthodontic procedures.Clean/disinfect operatories and sterilize instruments and devices.Set up trays and prepare brackets for bonding.Unload and store new supplies.Perform other tasks as assigned by the Doctor, Clinical Lead, and Practice Manager.About you:You are an excellent communicator who brings enthusiasm and passion to every interaction.You are pleasant, professional, and courteous, and enjoy being part of a team.You thrive on the challenge of managing competing priorities and excel at time management.You care about providing excellent customer service and positive patient experiences.What you bring – qualifications:Dental/Orthodontic Assisting experience is preferred, but not required.Willingness to learn and be a team player are most valued.Good understanding of relevant health and safety regulations.Proficiency with orthodontic management software systems is preferred but not required.Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills (verbal and written), with a proven ability to build strong relationships and rapport with patients, parents, doctors, fellow team members and the community.Keen attention-to-detail and time management skills.Dependability and a strong work ethic.How to Apply:We know that applying to a new role takes a lot of work and we sincerely value your time and your interest in Amherst Orthodontics.
