Must be licensed and currently registered to practice nursing in New York State AND have one year of full-time post-RN licensure clinical nursing experience.
As a Nurse 2, you will independently conduct health assessments; prepare and implement nursing care plans; diagnose and treat individuals’ responses to actual, potential, or diagnosed health problems through nursing services, such as case-finding, health teaching and counseling, and the provision of care supportive to or restorative of life and well-being; execute medical regimens prescribed by licensed health care providers; and serve as members of interdisciplinary health care teams and health-related committees to plan and implement care for individuals. Under the general direction of a higher-level registered nurse or licensed health care provider, you will independently provide direct nursing care to individuals in accordance with Article 139 of the Education Law; supervise nursing care activities; and provide clinical supervision and training to Nurses 1, Licensed Practical Nurses, and direct care staff.
Salary range does not include $20,000 geographic pay and you may be entitled to a shift differential of $5000-$7000.
