Job Summary

This position will assist in the daily functions of Contour’s Human Resources Department and will oversee the administration of all employees that are unavailable for work due to being placed on a leave of absence. In addition, this position will oversee the administration of Contour’s Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) procedures, Worker’s Compensation, benefits, and enforcing Company policies and practice.

This position will also assist in the daily functions of Contour’s Staffing Department including screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and attending job fairs (as needed).

Summary of Essential Duties

  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Support the recruiting/staffing department by reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, attending job fairs (as needed), and training other departments on Company hiring practices.
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Assist (as needed) with new hire orientation.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to, benefits, various leaves of absence, disciplinary matters, investigations, performance and talent management, occupational health and safety, and training and development.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Maintain knowledge of the Company FAA/DOT drug and alcohol misuse prevention programs and assist with administering this program to employees.
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications


  • Be at least 23 years of age.
  • Prior experience with the aviation industry preferred.
  • At least 2 years of prior experience in Human Resources is required.
  • Prior experience in talent recruitment is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration is required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Be authorized to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the United States.
  • Able to work varying schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Some travel will be required to attend out-of-state job fairs and recruitment events.
  • Must have experience and be highly proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Excel, Word, Outlook, and related software.
  • Able to pass a required 10-year work history review and submit to criminal history records check.
  • Must understand, read, and write English.
  • Possess polished and professional interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and a customer-oriented mindset.
  • Possess strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Must have well-developed people skills and ability to work with a variety of personalities.
