Work requirementS

  • The Contractor shall work closely with the various application teams; however, the Sponsor project manager will manage the priorities.
  • The Contractor shall work with applications in the Sponsor’s cloud environment.
  • The Contractor shall provide support for implementation, design and building enhancements, and long term maintenance of a new application.
  • The Contractor shall design and develop the application in a Web environment.
  • The Contractor shall analyze user needs and develop software solutions.
  • The Contractor shall design software or customize software for client use to optimize operational efficiency.
  • The Contractor shall analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
  • The Contractor shall perform testing, debugging and quality assurance of the application.
  • The Contractor shall play a major role in implementing a modern micro services oriented, high profile, mission enabling application used daily.
  • The Contractor shall periodically work on other systems or tasking, as assigned, to support the Project Owners Portfolio IT modernization efforts.

required skills and demonstrated experience

The Contractor shall have the following required skills, certifications and demonstrated experience:
  • Demonstrated experience developing applications using SQL, Python, JavaScript, NodeJS or Golang.
  • Demonstrated experience with Relational databases.
  • Demonstrated experience with Version control systems such as Git.
  • Demonstrated experience using React framework.
  • Demonstrated experience with upgrading and refining existing production applications working with legacy code.
  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience with development in a cloud environment.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering solutions using cloud services
  • Demonstrated experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience with working in a fast-paced, technically challenging area; ability to anticipate and manage changes or problems; assess impacts and recommend sound solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience with authentication and authorization process.
  • Demonstrated experience with Accreditation and Authorization (A&A) security tools.

Highly Desired skills and demonstrated experience

Skills and demonstrated experiences that are highly desired but not required to perform the work include:
  • Demonstrated experience with Sponsor networks, systems and services.
  • Demonstrated experience with the Sponsor’s authentication and authorization process.
  • Demonstrated experience with Scalable Computing, Relational Database Services, Load Balancing, Key Management Systems, Autoscaling, and Storage Services.
  • Demonstrated experience with PostgreSQL database, Redis, and SQL.
  • Demonstrated experience with the development of system prototypes and proof of concept in order to demonstrate proper application of design principles.
  • Demonstrated experience with Continuous integration systems such as Jenkins.
  • Demonstrated experience providing Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support to production systems to include troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated experience in full stack development.
  • Demonstrated experience with REST services.
  • AWS Certification or other certifications
