Cornerstone Christian Academy is looking for an experienced primary grade educator with experience teaching 2nd grade students in phonics, math, reading, language, Bible, social studies, and science. This position is for the 2024/2025 school year.

Position Responsibility and Duties:

• Begin each day with prayer and praise.
• Establish positive relationships with children and their parents
• Provide Christian behavioral guidance to students
• Be energetic, self-motivated, and team-oriented
• Must know and implement the Abeka curriculum with the standard of learning objectives
• Provide experiences for positive peer interactions, social skill development
• Foster social confidence by facilitating activities public speaking
• Maintain up to date training and teaching certifications
• Maintain room and sanitize surfaces
• Dress code standard adhered and quality appearance
• Must be organized and be a clear and consistent communicator.
• Must be able to teach and inspire students, having them excel.
• Must embrace the Mission and Core Values of Cornerstone Christian Academy
• Progress & Report Cards prepared according to Administration standards
• Ensure smooth transitions of children in your classroom as required by the administration
• Practice safe evacuation of the room in case of emergency once per month
• Maintain an atmosphere of Godliness and love in the classroom and the facility
• Maintain a positive working relationship with the Principal and other staff members

Required Skills and Education

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Bachelor or Associates degree in elementary education
• Ability to effectively communicate and actively participate in all physical experiences
• Must have at least 1 year of experience and can provide proof of credentials and certifications, rendered upon formal written offer.

Salary: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
