Job Overview:
We are seeking a musician who specializes in string instruments to teach music education to students in grades 4th-8th. The candidate must be a believer in Jesus Christ and have a lifestyle that reflects a maturity and intimacy with God. Their planned musical instruction should help students grow in their enjoyment, appreciation, and individual/group performance.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Teach strings to 4th-8th grade students including appreciation, history, how to hold the instrument, read musical notation, and ensemble.
• Utilize repertoire of approved variety types of music literature, including Christian, traditional, and contemporary that are appropriate for the ages and skill levels of the students.
• Provide opportunities for music ensembles allowing everyone to be a part of a group
• Differentiate music curriculum to meet the needs of the individual student
• Plan, rehearse, and direct students in two musical programs for school and families
• Plan balanced music programs and organize daily class time so that preparation, rehearsal, and instruction can be accomplished within the allotted time.
• Evaluate each student's musical growth and contribution to the group performance
• Cooperate with Head of School, supervisor, and facility manager in providing musical programs for school assemblies, seasonal programs, and special chapels.
• Maintain care and responsibility for school-owned music, musical instruments, equipment, and materials to prevent loss or abuse
