Job Summary - Senior Vice President - Total Rewards

The Senior Vice President - Total Rewards responsible for overseeing the Total Rewards framework and strategy, ensuring that team members are compensated fairly, competitively and innovatively in support of a multi-generational workforce. This role will help drive the organization's market competitiveness and team member value proposition, supporting team member experience, engagement, retention, as well as attracting traditional and non-traditional healthcare candidates.
Essential Functions - Senior Vice President - Total Rewards
  • Leads, manages, and mentors a team to build and maintain a unified program that enables better team member engagement, retention and attraction.
  • Reflects on the entire team member value proposition to develop a purpose-driven Total Rewards strategy which enables better alignment with the organization's vision and team members' skills as well as career framework required in order to drive business growth in collaboration with client group leaders.
  • Evaluates and develops the Total Rewards strategy based on ROI / benchmarking market and workforce analysis; knowledge of organizational workforce trends and projections for the future.
  • Ensures Total Rewards plans are competitive, cost-effective, drive a high-performance culture, and are aligned with current and future strategic direction.
  • Develops plans/procedures that ensure a compliant Total Rewards functions (in regards to compensation/pay, benefits, tax, employment laws) through regular audit initiatives.
  • Ensures there is a robust program in place to meet regulatory/compliance needs.
  • Inspires a culture of transparency and fairness through tailored and continuous communication; develops creative communication approaches appealing to multiple generations.
  • Oversees and advises regarding lawful compensation and benefits practices and program offerings.
  • Collaborates with Workforce Analytics to support the delivery of compensation analysis, providing insight and analysis on trends to drive informed business decisions.
  • Partners with the CHRO and BOD Executive Committee to develop a leading Total Rewards program.
  • Works alongside CHRO in support of the System Leadership Team, Client Group Leaders, Senior HR Partners, Investment Committee, Head of Talent Management and Talent Acquisition, Legal and Compliance as well as Finance and Tax to drive Total Rewards initiatives across the Spectrum Health organization.
Qualifications - Senior Vice President - Total Rewards
  • Required Bachelor's Degree.
  • Preferred Master's Degree.
  • 10 years of relevant experience Leadership experience Preferred.
  • 10 years of relevant experience HR or business-related experience Preferred.
