Position Overview

Treehouse Builders is looking for a Community Project Manager to join our team in the Dallas/Fort Worth area! We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate with a minimum of 5 years residential production building and/or Commercial Construction management experience. Successful candidates will have exceptional communication skills with a commitment to quality and a bias for action. The Community Project Manager will assist the Director of Construction, Director of Land Development, Senior Project Manager, and Area Manager with managing the community. This individual will be responsible for collecting essential data for the project/community and maintaining the overall Project Schedule(s).

What You Will Do

  • Perform detailed analyses of the community(s), analyzing data, collecting information and creating daily, weekly, and monthly reports and presentations for relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist in obtaining, managing, and storing relevant permits and licenses.
  • Manage and maintain all essential project logs including, but not limited to materials, vendors, contractors, visitors, inspectors, equipment, weather, variances, change orders, contractor payroll, etc.
  • Determining the necessary resources (time, cost, labor, materials) for projects.
  • Understanding, tracking, and reporting the project/community(s) KPI’s.
  • Providing guidance and supervision as required to meet project goals pertaining to schedules, budget, quality standards, safety, and cleanliness standards.
  • Assessing the progress and performance of all workers involved on the project.
  • Ensuring compliance with all building, safety, and governmental regulations.
  • Assist in looking for opportunities to ensure maximum profitability.
  • Stay acutely aware of company goals and strategies to ensure projects align with business priorities.
  • Occasional travel may be necessary as needed
  • Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned by management
  • Must be able to complete all physical requirements of this role with or without a reasonable accommodation

Ideally, you'll have

  • Excellent leadership abilities.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Commercial Project Management and New home construction.
  • Relevant certifications may be required. Advanced understanding of construction processes, principles, materials,and tools.
  • The ability to communicate clearly.
  • Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to establish good working relationships with a variety of people, including upper management, designers, sales, trades, vendors & customers. Should be able to build rapport and maintain Customer Satisfaction during the buying/building process.
  • Must possess the ability to supervise effectively at all levels & with a variety of personalities. Motivate building partners to perform at a high level of competency. Manages time effectively, multitasks and prioritize to meed established goals and deadlines.
  • Computer proficiency required to handle job costing, payroll & communication with vendors & trades.
  • Knowledge of Construction Practices and Terminology. Ability to read and understand blueprints and construction documents.
  • Attention to Detail and Persistence in follow up.
  • Strong sense of urgency.
  • Knowledge of Google suites/Microsoft apps

You'll crush it if you have experience with

  • Can analyze & resolve problems. Excellent organizational, leadership & communication skills.
  • Be decisive, flexible & work well under pressure when faced with unexpected situations or delays and in a very fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred industry experience in Residential and Commercial Construction
  • Preferred Software Experience in Hyphen/Buildpro/Supplypro/Smartsheets/BRIX
