Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing for medical services. Your attention to detail and knowledge of medical coding and billing procedures will contribute to the financial success of our organization. Duties: - Review and verify patient information, including demographics and insurance details - Accurately assign medical codes using DRG, ICD-9, and ICD-10 coding systems - Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail - Monitor claim status and follow up on any denials or rejections - Process payments received from insurance companies or patients - Investigate and resolve any billing discrepancies or issues - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the medical billing system - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure proper documentation and coding accuracy - Provide excellent customer service to patients regarding billing inquiries Experience: - Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role - Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems, and billing procedures - Familiarity with medical office software and systems - Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems - Experience with medical collection practices is preferred Skills: - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Effective communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team - Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks Join our team as a Medical Biller and contribute to the efficient operation of our healthcare facility.
