At CORE Molding Technologies, we've been molding thermoplastic products in Winona, MN through a process known as DLFT (Direct Long Fiber Thermoplastics) since 1989. Using DLFT, we design and construct thermoplastic products that include intricate geometries in their design, allowing holes, slots, and other complex features to be directly molded into the product. The products we develop serve a wide variety of markets, including automotive, power sports, utilities, and more.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The Maintenance Technician regularly maintains, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance on all machinery, equipment, and tooling; keeps a normal reserve of supplies and repair parts; and maintains records of preventative maintenance reports

  • Maintain and repair facility, machinery, equipment, and tooling.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance checks on facility, machinery, equipment, and tooling.
  • Maintain preventative maintenance records (weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, and annually as required).
  • Maintain supply reserves and spare parts inventory for facility, machinery, equipment, and tooling.
  • Perform Lockout/Tagout when working on energized machinery.
  • Act as the lead during mold and machine setups.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Ability to work overtime, sometimes on short notice.
  • Position sometimes required being on call if needed.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), minimum of two years working in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Technical training in welding/electrical/hydraulics is preferred.
  • Ability to read general electric and hydraulic schematics and blueprints

Language Skills

  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Compute rates, ratios, and percent.
  • Draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
