Outside Sales Representative – Valves & Flow Control Job Summary
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for territory and customer management, including a specified designated area and all assigned accounts. You will be held accountable to supporting existing customers and products, while meeting new account and overall sales goal targets.

Outside Sales Representative – Valves & Flow Control Responsibilities

  • Responsible for territory and customer management, including establishing sales objectives / goals and developing sales forecasts
  • Travel throughout the assigned territory and make field visits
  • Works with customer’s technical staff in the specification and application of industrial equipment
  • Evaluates customer equipment designs and installations to identify needs and provides technical assistance and product education
  • Be a point of contact for dispute resolution with the customer and works closely with the office staff and factory personnel to help address the customer’s needs.

Outside Sales Representative – Valves & Flow Control Position Requirements

  • BS College degree (in Engineering, Business or related major) preferred, or high school diploma plus relative experience
  • 2 – 5 years of successful engineering or technical experience in an industrial environment, preferably in valves and flow control products or equivalent sales experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – listening, clarifying, and confirming.
  • Demonstrated strong customer service, presentation, and relationship management skills
  • The ideal candidate needs to live within the sales territory of the Reno/Tahoe area Previous outside sales experience is highly preferred
