CORE Community Organized Relief Effort is Hiring a Human Resources Employee Relations Advisor - Atlanta, GA Near Atlanta, GA

The Human Resource Employee Relations Advisor will be the focal point for HR activities and Safeguarding in the Georgia Programs. As the HR Employee Relations Advisor for Georgia Programs, the primary focus will be employee relations, providing guidance and support for managers and employees, collaborating with the Development Specialist to enhance employee engagement activities and training opportunities. This person will contribute to the development and facilitation of training for staff for GPC initiatives. The HR Employee Relations Advisor will assist with recruitment activities. This position will be the assist in the flow of communication from Global People & Culture (GPC) and GA Programs ensuring effective policy interpretation and review. Additionally, the HR Employee Relations Advisor will assist GA Leadership in communicating policy updates and guidelines.
Responsibilities:
    • Provide guidance and support to managers on employee relations matters, including performance management, corrective action, and conflict resolution with direction from GPC.
    • Collaborate with the Development Specialist or designated staff to design and implement employee engagement activities that foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
    • Be the liaison between GPC and the GA Programs, ensuring alignment and effective communication of initiatives and policies.
    • Review, interpret, and recommend updates to HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local and federal laws and regulations, and best practices.
    • Assist GA Program Leadership in communicating policy updates, guidelines, and other relevant information to staff.
    • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of employees, as identified through performance evaluations and organizational needs.
    • Assist GPC and GA Programs with recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination.
    • Serve as safeguarding focal point and follow policies and procedures related to safety and security. This includes implementing measures to prevent and address any potential risks or threats to employees or beneficiaries.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, employment laws, and regulations related to HR practices, and provide recommendations for improvements.
Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related field preferred.
    • Experience working in diverse cultural teams.
    • INGO experience is a plus.
Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years of HR experience, preferably in a nonprofit organization.
    • Strong knowledge of project management principles and the ability to handle multiple HR projects simultaneously.
    • Interdisciplinary experience, with a solid understanding of various HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation.
    • Familiarity with local employment laws and regulations and the ability to interpret and apply them appropriately.
Skills and Competencies:
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization.
    • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
    • Ability to make sound decisions in a timely manner
    • Experience in facilitating training sessions and workshops with a focus on employee development and performance improvement.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to details, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines effectively.
    • Proven conflict resolution skills and the ability to handle sensitive employee relations issues with discretion and empathy.
$60,000 - $70,000 a year
In accordance with law, the expected pay range for this position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
