Summary of Position

The BaaS team focuses on delivering embedded finance solutions to Fintech’s and corporate clients with a focus on deposit accounts and money movement. The Payments Program Manager will drive innovation in payments for both the BaaS division as well as the community bank. The role will be responsible for assisting in the bank’s payments strategy development, executing its delivery and educating others across various department lines. The Payments Program Manager will think outside of the box and be well versed in all payment platforms, understand emerging payment technologies, and possess knowledge of industry direction.

Responsibilities of the Payments Program Manager include:

  1. Plan and implement products, processes, and technologies in relation to the bank’s payments strategy.
  2. Be the subject matter expert for current and emerging payments to include ACH, RTP, Fed Now, card, and wire rails.
  3. Maintain a deep understanding of payment card networks and transaction processing.
  4. Lead solutioning and the adoption of existing and upcoming client-facing products and capabilities while defining and configuring optimal solutions that address clients’ needs and objectives.
  5. Sustain strong payments industry knowledge. Must possess entrepreneurial spirit with a consultative approach delivering complex solutions.
  6. Build and maintain user facing and internal payments knowledge.
  7. Provide oversight of card programs associated with the BaaS division. Must have an in-depth knowledge of how sponsor card programs work to include acquiring, issuing, processing, etc.
  8. Engage in prospect and partner calls as it relates to funds flow and payment needs.
  9. Develop funds flows for the bank and partners as applicable.
  10. Collaborate with operations, technology, finance, and risk teams to ensure comprehensive oversight and reporting of various payment programs.
  11. Assist in onboarding and integration process for new partners, guaranteeing smooth transition through to full-scale implementations.
  12. Stay well informed on all P2P, B2B, and B2C platforms.
  13. Ongoing education and monitoring of third-party senders and payment providers.
  14. Work with business lines to enhance payment platforms offered to business clients specifically.
  15. Customize payment flows for customers as applicable.
  16. Attend webinars and other educational opportunities to stay abreast of industry evolution.
  17. Assist in maintaining third-party relationships and monitor their technology enhancements.
  18. Conduct annual policy and procedure reviews as it relates to the role.
  19. Ongoing review of payments products, services, and technology to ensure they remain competitive
  20. Regular attendance is required.
  21. Other activities, duties or responsibilities that are required may be assigned.

Qualifications


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree to commensurate experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in banking, payments, fintech space, or other similar, relevant experience
