Zoe Feldman is a high-end residential interior design firm headquartered in Washington, DC’s historic Georgetown neighborhood. We are looking for an accounting manager that is highly motivated, a self-starter, and detail-oriented. This position reports directly to the CFO.

Skills and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• CPA is a plus
• Proficiency with Google Workspace, Ripping, Causal, and/or ClickUp a plus
• Team player who is a self-starter, excited and willing to help out and not afraid to "manage up"
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
• Great organizational and time management skills and strong attention to detail
• Must be able to physically navigate project sites, including ascending and descending stairs, carrying packages or boxes up to 30 lbs in weight

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the monthly close process, including the reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts
• Manage payroll and benefits administration
• Assist with the employee onboarding/offboarding process and the administration and maintenance of various software applications, including StudioDesigner, Harvest, ClickUp, Rippling and Causal
• Create weekly summary of timesheets and process edits from management
• Prepare weekly time summaries and monthly time invoices and send to clients
• Update various financial reporting schedules
• Create and post journal entries and enter expenses in Studio Designer
• Assist in the creation and preparation of the budget and tracking actual performance vs budget
• Deposit cash and checks and manage petty cash
• Track contracts for each project to ensure that all billable activity is properly invoiced
• Assist with the creation of new processes, policies and procedures
