Title: Accountant (CPA)
Location: Hybrid - Tysons, VA
Hourly Rate: Market Rate
Job Type: Contract
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES.
- Prepare financial reports for the monthly management reporting package.
- Prepare and review period-end journal entries.
- Perform General Ledger account reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Work closely with external auditors during the interim and year-end audit.
- Ensure desktop procedures and process narratives are kept up to date.
- Manage the relationship with other departments and identify potential accounting issues / events.
- Work with outside vendors for company-wide rollouts.
- Complete ad hoc analysis and projects, as requested.
Education, Training, and Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field with 3 plus years of general accounting experience required.
- CPA required
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from restaurant management.

- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, as well as write reports and business correspondence.
- Ability to apply, analyze, interpret and record business transactions according to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Handle multiple tasks simultaneously, with excellent attention to detail. Possess analytical skills.
- Must demonstrate a commitment to the pursuit of quality work.
- Ability to think independently to solve practical problems and present solutions.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Experience with multi-unit operations is helpful.
- Possess strong knowledge of Excel.
- Highly proficient personal computer skills and technology driven
- Ability to network and collaborate cross-functionally
- Ability to view department as a service organization to other departments & restaurant locations.
